Miss Amanda told me about this internet journal system and that I should introduce myself. It seems there are a lot of people who live here. Hello, my name is Rictor, and I moved here today to learn how to control my mutant earthquake powers. Somehow, that sounds even weirder in English than it does in Spanish.

I would appreciate someone to drive me to a nursery this week. I like my room but it’s empty, and I think some plant life would be nice. I am thinking of starting simple with spider plants or a moth orchid. I could also plant some bulbs for paperwhites or an amaryllis.

There seems to be a big variety of powers here. Are all mutants different?

They can be. You have kind of overall groups of powers.

*psionics, which includes the telepaths, telekinetics, pyrokinetics (they make fire), empaths and technopaths.
*energy absorbers, like me, Mr. Summers, Alex, Jubilee, and Alison, where we take in a type of energy and redirect it out again.
*energy converters, where they take in energy and convert it into something else. As I understand it, the magic folks do that. Energy absorbers and energy converters aren't a lot different, to be honest.
*enhanced bodies so the super strong/super resilient, like Molly, Garrison, Inez and NamorHIs Royal Highness.
*shapeshifters, where they can change their forms from ordinary flesh and blood to other things, like Pyotr who can turn into organic steel, or Mr. Sydney who can change into other people.
*enhanced senses, so Kyle or Mr. Logan, for the full "feral" package or Matt or Clint for special senses.

Hey, I'm April. Nice to see another new face around! If you ever see me outside with a dog feel free to come and say hi to us. Boris belongs to my roommate, but we both take him out for walking and play, and he loves to make new friends. Especially ones that might throw a ball for him. :)

Otherwise I am not great at growing plants so I can't really help you on that end. I don't have a black thumb... well, not with plants, it's more a shifter thing, but it's decidedly not very green either.
